The author behind Jenetta M Bradley.
I've been telling stories for as long as I can remember — first in notebooks hidden under my bed, then in college literary journals, and eventually in the books and publications you'll find here.
My work explores the quiet moments between the big ones: the conversations we almost have, the choices we make in the dark, the ways ordinary lives carry extraordinary weight. I'm drawn to characters who are trying to figure out how to be good in a complicated world.
I grew up in the Midwest, studied literature and creative writing, and have spent years teaching writing workshops while working on my own fiction. My debut novel, The Weight of Quiet Things, was published in 2025. My short story collection, Maps of Forgotten Places, came out in 2023.
When I'm not writing, I'm reading — usually two or three books at once, always with a cup of tea nearby.
"I write because I believe stories are how we understand each other — and ourselves."
